Work profile

Simko is a Japanese Citizen of Kurdish origin lives in Tokyo, working as an NGO member since his graduation from university. He had been working as a Civil Engineer/ site planner to support refugees in emergency conditions such as Kurdistan, Albania, Kosovo, West Africa, Sierra Leone, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mainly he designs and implements the Engineering projects like infrastructures, building shelters, water and drain system for refugees, constructing schools, clinics, road and bridges and other infrastructures. He has been on Japanese and other international   main TV channels such as NHK Hard Talk programme of BS22, CNN, NHK main channel, Osaka, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Tokyo MX TV...etc , his art works and short stories has been published in Japanese top art magazines such as Art Graph, Asahi graph, Pia,Raku, Play boy,  Studio Ghibli ...etc , his art works has been also  used as a cover book for several Japanese and international novels  and leaflets

• 5th solo art show in a refugees camp in Sierra Leone, West Africa in Bandajuma refugees camp in Bo area. The title of the show was (colorful dreams of dark kids)

• With two artists (Omar Darwesh and Ari Baban) he opened his exhibition with cooperation of an NGO,  AVN (Asian Volunteers network). In Rabarin Hall in Sulaimania.

He participated in the group exhibition in May festival in city of Suleimania in Kurdistan.

He opened 3rd solo exhibition in the Fine Art Hall in Duhok by Cooperation with FHRA (Foundation for Human rights in Asia, Japan).
